About Everett Mangum (RadTek Books)

A brand new author, lifelong learner, and a man of many trades and skills.
I spent years as a trained wildland firefighter with the BLM, where my Boy Scout roots met real fire lines. I'm also an active belt rank holder in martial arts — the result of 5–10 years of dedicated training. I love the arts deeply — its history, lore, and the rich traditions of styles from across the world. I carry that quietly, not loudly.
These days I trade the trails for a nice office desk at a respectable company, but when life allows, I still make time for hunting, fishing, hiking, cycling, and racquetball. I'm a survival enthusiast and lover of nature in every form — someone who genuinely enjoys passing useful knowledge along to anyone who can use it.
Above all, I'm a family man. And as of very recently, a proud new grandfather to the most wonderful little girl — Daniella. That changes everything in the best way.
Off the trail I enjoy chess, Magic the Gathering, card games, puzzles, and a good mystery. My music runs from classical and folk to old school country, rock, metal, reggae, and the native musical traditions of Japan, India, and the Americas. Eclectic is an understatement.
I'm a Christian — more spiritual than religious. My favorite time of year is Thanksgiving, with Christmas close behind. The warmth, the family, the meaning. That's what it's all about.
These are my first books and I'm proud of them, even if AI assisted me with their final output. The ideas behind them and character are my own. I'm also in the works on a manuscript that is almost all my own with very minimal AI content. My books here represent useful things I believe in and feel would help me, or a friend or loved one. Be honest with me — follows, support, and even critique are always welcome here in my blogs as I'll add a section for that soon.
Stay humble. Stay blessed. Survive, Thrive, and always stay prepared.
